Where to buy Powerball tickets
Powerball tickets are sold in authorized lottery retailers in 45 states in the United States, including Washington DC, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Authorized retailers can be drug stores, gas station stores or grocery stores.
Tickets can be bought online too but you have to be a resident in the selected state in order to purchase your tickets.
According to Powerball: “Some lotteries sell Powerbal tickets over the internet, but the service is only available to residents of that jurisdiction.
“The sale of Powerball tickets over the Internet or by mail across jurisdictional borders is restricted. Lotteries may refuse to pay out prize money on Powerball tickets purchased on any website other than their own.”
