Who is in England’s Fifa World Cup group in Qatar ?

Following the draw on Friday in Doha, Qatar, England has learnt who it will face in its World Cup group.

The Three Lions, along with teams like Brazil, Belgium, Germany, and incumbent champions France, are among the favourites to bring home the trophy in Qatar after coming so close to doing so on home soil during the previous summer's EURO 2020 competition.

The group that Gareth Southgate's team was placed in included Iran, the United States, and the winner of the Wales, Scotland, and Ukraine Uefa Play-Off route. The Welsh defeated Ukraine in the final in Cardiff.

To get his team as far as possible in the first round, Southgate will rely on squad mainstays like Raheem Sterling, Jordan Henderson, and Harry Kane.

Then, younger players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Declan Rice, and Phil Foden will be hoping to have their first professional impact at the largest football tournament.

United States vs. England, November 25 at 7 p.m. (Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor).
