Winner of the Mega Millions jackpot in Washington County says his late father encouraged him to participate.

According to the Maryland Lottery, a man from Washington County has claimed his prizes of $40,000 from the Mega Millions and Powerball lotteries.

The guy's late father was an enthusiastic player of the lottery, and a psychic had told him that his father wanted him to play both games.

The individual, who in the lottery announcement went by the alias "Wezzie Brunswick,".

 At the Corner Store in Brunswick, which is located in the southwestern part of Frederick County, he purchased the ticket.

Winners of the lottery are given the choice of whether or not to have their identities made public.

The psychic said that the 55-year-old winner's late father had supplied numbers for Wezzie to use.
