An 80-year-old man has been a player in the Michigan Lottery 

 She just found out that she won the big Powerball prize.

A woman who is now 80 years old and claims to have played the Michigan Lottery ever since it first began has won $1 million.

She recently told the administrators of the lottery, while she was claiming her prize for the Powerball.

According to a news release from December 2, Carolyn Geiss, who resides in Dearborn.

"All sorts of Lottery games" for decades, one of her favourite games to play is Powerball.

One of the tickets that she purchased for the Powerball drawing on October 26 — which had a jackpot that was expected to be worth $715 million — was a big winner.
