A Powerball ticket that was purchased in Nassau County won the third prize.

Don't throw out your Powerball tickets just yet, even though the top reward was not won in Saturday's drawing.

The jackpot is now over $300 million. There were no winners of the top prize.

Lottery officials claim that the drawing that took place on January 7 awarded $50,000 to a winner from Long Island.

The admission pass was acquired at Tulip Caterers, which is situated on Tulip Avenue in Franklin Square.

The third prize of $50,000 was split among the other three winners around the state.

The evenings of Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday are reserved for the playing of Powerball.
