A North Carolina lady gave birth on the day she won $100,000 on the Powerball.

The day a North Carolina mother gave birth, she also won $100,000 in the Powerball lottery.

Brenda Gomez Hernandez of Concord, North Carolina, had a baby girl on November 9, the same day as the Powerball drawing.

 Which was initially for $50,000 until the 2X Power Play multiplier occurred.

In picking the numbers for her $3 Quick Pick ticket at QuikTrip.

28-year-old housekeeper Hernandez claimed she based her choices on her boys' birthdays.

Hernandez: "When I found out [that I won], I sobbed." Simply said, "I couldn't be happier right now."
