The Powerball jackpot has grown to $1.2 billion, the fourth largest in U.S. lottery history, after no one matched all six winning numbers in last night’s drawing. But there are still some smaller winners with something to celebrate, including a ticket sold in Central New York worth $2 million.
The winning numbers in Monday’s Powerball drawing were 13-19-36-39-59, Powerball: 13, Power Play: 3X. Double Play Winning Numbers were 09-14-52-57-62, Powerball: 24. (Note: Double Play is a recent add-on feature in 14 states and not currently available in New York.)
No one matched all six digits for the grand prize, which would have been $999,300,000 (or $497.3 million in a lump sum payment).
Still, ten tickets worth $1 million were sold in California, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Ohio, and Texas; in New York, a $1 million ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven in the Westchester County village of Elmsford. Another three tickets worth $2 million were sold in Florida, New York and Oklahoma; the $2M New York state ticket was sold at Parkway Drugs located at 485 French Rd. in Utica.
