The Powerball jackpot has grown to $800 million, the fifth largest in U.S. lottery history, but one lucky ticket in New York is still worth $1 million.
The winning numbers in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing were 19-36-37-46-56, Powerball: 24, Power Play: 2X. Double Play Winning Numbers were 05-36-38-39-54, Powerball: 19. (Note: Double Play is a recent add-on feature in 14 states and not currently available in New York.)
No one matched all six digits for the grand prize, which would have been $700 million (or $335.7 million in a lump sum payment). Still, six tickets worth $1 million were sold in California, Connecticut, Illinois, Michigan, and New York; the state’s sole $1 million ticket was sold at a Cumberland Farms in the Orange County town of Chester. Another ticket worth $100,000 was also sold in New York.
