The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s lottery drawing has rolled back to an estimated $20 million with a cash option valued at $10 million after ticket holders in California and Florida won Friday’s massive $502 million prize.
The winning numbers were: 1, 15, 20, 44, and 67. The Mega Ball drawn was 23 with a Megaplier of 3X.
In addition to the jackpot-winning tickets, a second-prize ticket worth $1 million was sold at One Stop Shoppe on Parksville Station Road in Mantua, New Jersey Lottery officials said Monday. Other second-prize tickets were bought in North Carolina while a $2 million ticket was sold in Texas because the winner spent an extra $1 on the Megaplier option.
The jackpot had a cash option of $252 million. It’s the 22nd largest in U.S. lottery history,
In addition, there was a $10,000 third-prize ticket purchased at ShopRite on Route 9 South in Howell. It matched four numbers plus the Mega Ball.
Friday’s winning numbers were: 9, 22, 26, 41, and 44. The Mega Ball drawn was 19 with a Megaplier of 2X.
The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million.
Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $454 million with a cash option of $232.6 million.
