The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $312 million, with a cash option valued at $173.6 million.
The winning numbers drawn were: 1, 25, 7, 56, 11. The Gold Mega Ball drawn was 14 with a Megaplier of 2x.
No one across the country hit Tuesday’s $290 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize, $1 million winners.
In New Jersey, a third-prize ticket matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball was bought at Mr. Convenient & Variety Store on East State Street in Trenton. It’s worth $30,000 instead of the standard $10,000 since the winner spent an extra $1 for the Megaplier option.
Tuesday’s winning numbers were: 8, 13, 18, 32, and 42. The Gold Mega Ball drawn was 20 with a Megaplier of 3X.
No one has hit the jackpot since a $20 million ticket was sold in Tennessee for the April 15 drawing. There have been four jackpot winning tickets sold nationwide so far in 2022.
The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million.
Drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
New Jersey Lottery offices in Lawrence are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. if players prefer to drop off claims and validate winning tickets in person. Claims can be left in a secure drop box at lottery headquarters. That option applies to prizes worth more than $599.50.
If a player wins a prize of $25,000 or more (or would otherwise prefer to submit a claim in person) appointments can be made to meet with a lottery representative in person by calling 1-800-222-0996.
Prizes valued at $599.50 or less should be claimed at lottery retailers.
