Lottery official announces a $100,000 Powerball jackpot winner in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, the biggest prize from Monday night’s Powerball drawing was won by a Haverhill resident who scooped $100,000.

The Powerball player won $100,000 because the first five numbers they picked matched the first five numbers drawn on their 2X Power Play ticket.

The winning numbers from Monday night’s Powerball drawing, according to the official website, were: 35, 45, 47, 54, 55, and the Powerball was 14.

Pare’s Liquor, in Haverhill, sold the winning $100,000 ticket.

Players of “Powerball” select five numbers from a pool of 1-69 and a Powerball number from a pool of 1-26. The game offers nine winning combinations with progressively larger payouts, plus the option to “Power Play” for even bigger payouts.

Additionally, the jackpot prize is awarded if a player correctly predicts all six numbers drawn.

On Monday, 743 winning lottery tickets worth at least $600 were sold across the Bay State. Thirty winning tickets were purchased in Springfield, while another thirty were purchased in Worcester.

The Massachusetts State Lottery publishes the daily winning ticket tally. Only winning tickets valued over $600 are included on the list.

The $16.35 million Megabucks Doubler jackpot was the largest prize in the Massachusetts lottery this year. Specifically, it was bought from Cumberland Farms in Ware. This year, the commonwealth also saw the distribution of three prizes totaling $15 million.
