Have you won the Mega Millions lotto drawing worth $333 million that took place on Friday? Live results for the winning numbers (12, 22, and 22)

The Mega Millions jackpot for this coming Friday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $333 million, with a cash option that is worth around $172.3 million.

1, 21, 36, 46, and 52 turned out to be the winning numbers. The number picked for the Mega Ball was 16, and the Megaplier was set to 3.

The $305 million prize that was offered on Tuesday was not won by anyone in the country. In addition, there were no sales of the second-prize $1 million tickets.

A lottery ticket was purchased at The Store on East Main Street in Ramsey, New Jersey, that was good for the third-place reward and matched four numbers plus the Mega Ball. Because the winner chose to spend an additional dollar on the Megaplier option, it is now worth $40,000 rather than the more typical prize of $10,000.

The following numbers were drawn on Tuesday: 20, 23, 37, 46, and 52. The Mega Ball that was drawn was a 6, and the Megaplier was set at 4.

There is a one in 302,575,350 chance that a ticket purchased for two dollars will match all of the winning numbers. Players have a chance of winning at least one million dollars with a ticket that matches five numbers but not the Mega Ball. This probability is one in 12,607,306.

The draws for the Mega Millions jackpot take place every Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, including Washington, the District of Columbia, and the United States Virgin Islands.

The Powerball jackpot for this Saturday is anticipated to be worth $81 million, and there is a cash option for $42.1 million.

As of the beginning of the year 2020, there were 47 lotteries that participated in Mega Millions and Powerball. The state of Florida joined Mega Millions in May of 2013. (Although Puerto Rico’s lottery has been around since the 1930s, the state does not participate in the Mega Millions jackpot at this time.) In 2019, Mississippi started selling lottery tickets, and on January 30, 2020, the state became a part of Mega Millions.

Prior to the deal, the only merchants that offered Mega Millions and Powerball tickets were retailers whose establishments were located on a border between jurisdictions that sold competing games. These businesses included Powerball and Mega Millions.

In October 2017, the Mega Millions game began using its current format. The cost of each play is $2. The Megaplier is an optional feature that costs an additional dollar for each play and multiplies any prizes that aren’t the jackpot. 2x, 3x, 4x, and 5x are the available multipliers (a second-prize Megaplier play has the potential to win $5 million in cash).

The Big Game tickets went on sale for the first time on August 31, 1996, in the states of Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Michigan, as well as Virginia. After having discussions with lottery directors Rebecca Paul of the Georgia Lottery and Penelope W. Kyle of the Virginia Lottery about the possibility of a multi-state game, Michigan Lottery Commissioner Bill Martin and Illinois Lottery Director Desiree Rogers came up with the idea for The Big Game and designed it. The Big Game is now played in all 50 states. In the beginning, each week’s drawing for The Big Game took place on Friday.

At the time, the Georgia Lottery was a member of MUSL and intended to sell both games for the duration of 1996. However, Georgia was forcibly expelled from MUSL within a few days, and the state would not rejoin until the cross-selling expansion in 2010.

Winners of the jackpot had the option, beginning in January 1999, to accept their award in cash instead of the original sum. It wasn’t until May 1999 that New Jersey became a player in The Big Game, making it the only state or province to do so before The Big Game morphed into Mega Millions in 2002.

When the state of Texas joined the Mega Millions lottery in 2003, it started providing an option known as the Megaplier, which was analogous to Powerball’s Power Play and was initially made accessible solely to participants of the Texas Lottery. The eleven Mega Millions lotteries that did not offer the Megaplier option on the cross-selling date of January 31, 2010, gradually added the option to their games; by January 2011, all Mega Millions lotteries, with the exception of California, providing players with the opportunity to win the Megaplier. The trademark for Megaplier is currently held by the Texas Lottery.

Carrie Underwood helped presenter Glenn Burns conduct the Mega Millions drawing that took place in Hollywood on June 24, 2005. This event was intended to celebrate the entry of California into the Mega Millions lottery.

The single jackpot-winning ticket, which was worth $315 million and was purchased in Anaheim, California, was held by a group known as “The Lucky 7” for the drawing that took place on November 15, 2005. They went with the cash option, which resulted in a split of $175 million before taxes were taken out.

The jackpot for the Mega Millions game hit $390 million on March 6, 2007, and at the time, this was the record for the third-greatest prize in the history of the United States. Both of the winning tickets matched the numbers 16-22-29-39-42 and the Mega Ball 20, thus the prize was split between the two of them. Both winners decided to take their winnings in cash, which resulted in each share is worth $116,557,083 before taxes were deducted.
